Summary from last summer women retreat in Latvia, in Everti, with Ilga Gavare and Kristine Sīle.
In this summer 2026 there will be twoo retreats for womens from abroad.

The summer retreat in June for women is already fully booked! That’s why I'm offering another retreat from September 8 to 11 2026. It will take place in Everti on Kristine Sile’s land. I'll lead the retreat.
We will begin with a fire ritual in the labyrinth, where you will connect with the elements. On the first evening, we will dance around the fire on a circle of fresh mugwort and burn incense. There will be a group pirts followed by an Amanita ceremony. The following day, there will be individual pirts rituals. We will swim in the river in the morning and enjoy wonderful meals. We will sing and dance and enjoy the silence. And if you wish, it can be a profound encounter with yourself.
The retreat, including accommodation and meals, costs 700 €. We have only 2 places available.

Pirts basics in Latvia 2026
This is the first international Pirts Camp organized and led by Ilga Gavare in Latvia! Over five days, you will experience the basics of Pirts (traditional Latvian sauna) with all your senses. You will begin with a fire ritual and connect with the elements. In a group Pirts, you can connect with the Pirts spirit before diving into theoretical and practical knowledge. Ilga will gather branches with you and make whisks, and she will talk about the significance of trees and plants. You will practice working with the whisks and the steam in the Pirts. When Andrea Lötscher heard about women in Latvia who had preserved their traditional European healing knowledge to this day, she had the idea to make the documentary BALTIC HEALING.In the summer of 2023, Andrea Lötscher & Baiba Baika travelled to Latvia to meet with four women healers working in the pirts, the traditional Latvian sauna.The resulting documentary feature BALTIC HEALING premiered in spring of 2024, and in the same year had more than a dozen cinema and open-air screenings.
THE FILM
BALTIC HEALING portraits four women healers during the Midsummer Festivities in Latvia working in the traditional pirts with herbs, massages, chants and fly agaric.
In the Latvian Pirts, an old European healing tradition has survived to the present day. It is based on herbal medicine and is connected to nature and the wheel of the year.
BALTIC HEALING was filmed in June 2023 during the summer solstice celebrations. The documentary portrays four healers who work in the pirts.
The pirts ritual is compared to returning to your mother’s womb and then to be re-born. During the ritual the women healers use flowers, herbs, whisks from birch trees, herbal body scrubs, massage, ancient incantations… and fly agaric (Amanita muscaria)… to re-connect people with their bodies and souls.
This is healing: returning to our true selves.
